In week 3 Brian Bartow will bring his 2015 edition of the Motor City Madmen to the Bay area. In 2014 Motor City (9-7) made the playoffs and look forward to advancing to the playoffs again in 2015. Not resting on their success from last season the Madmen were aggressive in improving the team. Knowing that Tom Brady is in the later stages of his great career, Motor City invested in a group of veterans surround their leader.
The first addition was Tackle Joe Staley to protect their quarterback. Next they added Vince Wolfork to plug up the middle of the defense. To give Brady another veteran target M.C. traded for Marques Colston. Back to the defensive side in a blockbuster move GM Bartow acquired DeMarcus Ware and Cornerback Tramon Williams. The wheeling and dealing was not finished. The Madmen added the elite OT Jason Peters completing the revamped offensive line. One day later WR James Jones was added to the receiving stable. To put the final stages on the defensive overhaul Safety Jim Leonard and DT Kevin Williams came over in late trades.
With Brady and Marshawn Lynch Motor City hits you with lightning and thunder. Bolstered by his new targets along with veteran receiver Brandon Marshall. then you add in the solid offensive line additions and you are talking a scoring juggernaut.
The defense will be just as potent as holdover linebacker Clay Matthews is now surrounded by a large talent upgrade. Ware, Wilfork & Ngata anchor the defensive line. Leonard and Williams should help solidify the secondary. Put everything together and Motor City is all in for a deep run in the 2015 season.
